Cultural Diversity

Critically analyse and evaluate the evidence in relation: to your own practice; future focused education; and being culturally responsive:   The below is my interpretation of Cultural Diversity in my classroom.  The practice in the classroom starts with the student followed by the relationship between the teacher, school and whanau. From here, this flows into the classroom  environment . Everything in between the student and the classroom is required for Culturally Responsive practices to occur where the needs of each individual student is being met. This isn't just regarding their ethnicity, but their  learning  style and requirements.    The challenge I see with this is the pedagogy shift that any teacher would need to make. However, the opportunities are limitless and more rewarding – both for the teacher and the students. If a teacher is future focused in their pedagogy, then this would definitely be an asset to any student in the class.
